Aisles of Lies!
Does anyone else kinda laugh to themselves when they walk past the makeup isles at the store? Well, I do. I call them ‘Aisles of Lies’, because that’s exactly what they are. I try to convince myself that not all women are idiots, and that they know that they will never look like the models in the ads. But then again, everyday theres someone famous for apparently being good-looking talking about some kind of creme that makes hideous she-donkeys into super models. I know people are generally malleable and stupid, but damn! I’d like to stand in the lie aisles and just inform the ugly women to give up on the ‘attractive’ thing. Even good looking women feel compelled to spend their money of on face paint in order to look like…i dunno…someone else? Seriously, grow up and get some self esteem.
Sadly, my employer will not pay me for that type of community service–which is near tragic for the population since we have to look at ugly people PLUS all the makeup they have caked on their unfortunate faces.
The ‘cosmetic’ industry is worth BILLIONS and is built on false promises, personal insecurities, and exaggerated claims— much like the Catholic Church. Part of me thinks that the suuUuUuuper uglies should just remove themselves from society, and the other part of me thinks that people shouldn’t give a shit WHAT I think and just do what they want.
Regardless, I don’t think that TV, movies, and magazines should do everything they can to make women feel uglier and fatter than they really are to make profits for their sponsors.

I’ve seen a couple of pictures of Tyra without makeup. Remarkably, she doesn’t look hideous. She looks like a regular woman. But I’m not sure how she will look without the wigs and hair-pieces.
I’m not a big Tyra fan, altough I’ll beat.
Cameron Diaz, that’s kind of known. Zellwegger, Maddona, yeah that’s pretty much it now-a-days. What’s crazy is that there a many true beauties in the game altering their faces for a certain look. It is truly crazy.
Henderson or Silva? Hard to pick, and I like both fighters.

It doesn’t help that the magazine covers on which we see so many of these ladies always airbrush, tweak, change bodies, smooth, obfuscate and generally mess with their appearance so much that they are barely recognizable as human beings and not cartoons. That’s way more magic than the miracle of modern chemistry could ever accomplish.

agreed. I wonder if they could sell ads by putting real people on the covers of mags and on tv. Doubtful. My thing is, if women spend two hours covering your face in paint in order to ‘look’ a certain way–what happens when you attract someone who thinks you actually look like the caricature you’ve turned yourself into? I’d think it’d be more efficient to just tattoo makeup on and minimize your work for life. Plus nobody has to see what you REALLY look like.

There are a couple broads at work who must buy it buy the gallon from Lowe’s and apply it with a spray brush.
Ladies need to learn how to blend their makeup. Nothing is worse then having to go up to a chick and see where her face starts and ends…..

all these people look like trash!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! without makeup. it’s crazy because i know alot’s of people who don’t wear makeup and look better than half the people on this list , it’s just so crazy how people think that they are gerorgous when they need a ton of makeup to be consider pretty.

Ok seriously ya’ll Tyra may not look absolutely fab in that picture….but everyone and their mom knows that she is beautiful inside and out…and she helps girls realize that their beautiful to. She has a huge heart and helps people every day..she brings a smile to my face everytime I watch the Tyra show….so why are we dogging her on this….leave her be cause she’s a great and inspiring woman.

to be honest, this is completely bias. these women are most likely still gorgeous without make-up. al it takes is one bad day, or a bad angle and suddenly they are labelled as ugly. i think it’s just jealousy.

She can’t about-face and try to push that ‘everyone is beautiful’ lie when you made millions making regular looking women self conscious about their bodies and hawking makeup. She started that ‘love your body’ thing once she got fat. Color me not impressed.
@ whatever: Of course it’s biased. I’m a man, and I don’t wear makeup. Ugly is ugly, and no angles or bad days can change that.

My thing is that when a female or any other celebrity (that’s previously listed) wears all of that flamboyantly, heavy make-up like everyday or any important occasion thats on their agenda it somewhat reduces the natural beauty that was built within. I agree that its bias, but honestly that’s the usual occurence of a women wearing make-up like they do most of the times. I don’t care about the ads in the magazine that elaborates on make-up that is presumingly good for your skin… all make-up causes the human skin to look abnorman after awhile!!!!!!!!!!

i think that tyra for one is beeauitful with or without make up she is not ugly and she just looks a normal person, that goes for anyone that u put make up on there face is going to look better and some women feel more comfortable with a little extra help, it doesnt say nething about there personality, its just them and everyone is allowed to do whatever makes them feel the best, and as for every woman who doesnt want 2 look there best?
